- The 4m levelling staff consists of wooden lateral ledges a honeycombed core and a cover plate of resin saturated hard paper.
- This structure ensures the best stability at relatively low weight (4.6kg).
- A bow lock permits the staff to be folded to 2m for easier transportation.
- In case the length of 4m is obstructive in room the upper section may be removed in seconds and later reattached without any loss of accuracy.
- The width of the staff is 80mm which allows convenient reading of the graduations and numbering even over longer distances.
- Each centimetre graduation interval is numbered which makes reading the staff easy and excludes counting errors.
- The decimetres are indicated at the beginning and end of each decimetre interval which proves useful over short levelling distances.
- The rear side and the lateral faces are bright orange finished which makes the staff highly discernable in the field.
- All faces including graduated are coated with a weatherproof layer protecting the staff from adverse weather conditions.
- Handles and a circular vial are built into the staff for precise placing in vertical positions.
